Register

New patients

Most new patients are registered in our practice because we have been recommended by family, by friends / acquaintances or by colleagues at work.

If you have previously had a bad experience with a dentist, or if you are anxious about the dentist, you can count on our patience and understanding.

Do you want to register as a new patient? Then call us at 070-3832349 during office hours or send a message on WhatsApp at 06 - 10038692 or send an e-mail to receptie@dental-centre.nl

First visit - What do you need to bring with you?

As a healthcare provider, we are legally required to record Burgerservicenummer (BSN, the Dutch social security number) of every patient in our records and to verify your identity. We therefore ask you to include the following on your first visit:

  • A valid ID, such as, your residence card or passport,
  • your insurance card, and
  • any medical information that may be important for your oral health (such as medication).

On the first visit it is also important if we can immediately access your dental data from your previous dentist, also to save costs where possible. This includes your treatment history and recently made X-rays. Then the latter does not have to be made again during a first visit.

What can you expect during the first visit?

We request you to be on time, certainly on a first visit. After completing the registration you may be requested to complete a medical questionnaire. After all, your medication may have an impact on oral health (for example, with the use of anti-hypertensive or antidepressant medicines). Your dentist may also need to perform treatment that may be affected by your medication or a condition (for example, the use of blood thinners). Also tell your dentist if you may be pregnant or you are planning to become pregnant. Your pregnancy may have an impact on oral health and may be important in connection with taking X-rays.

An initial appointment takes approximately 20 minutes and may consist of:

  • discussing the history and recording the current state of your teeth
  • discussing your general health
  • simple gum examination (DPSI score)
  • taking x-rays of your teeth

The first examination serves to ensure that the dentist has a good picture of your oral health and can draw up a personal treatment plan for you. This is the guideline for you and the dentist to work together towards your optimal oral health codition. If one or more follow-up treatments are necessary, we will of course discuss this with you and we can provide you with an estimate of cost if necessary or desired.

Children

Children are very welcome in our practice. It is wise to bring your child to the practice from the second birthday onwards. The dentist can then playfully check the growing teeth and molars and your child will get used to the dentist step by step. We can then also provide information aimed at the child to both child and parent.

It is useful to know that for childen, dental care is fully reimbursed from the basic package until the 18th birthday and has no influence on the deductible. We therefore provide complete oral care for the entire family!
